Hey-o, coming through in the 11th hour is my...thing I guess. My submission for the *houseofthemoon book cover contest.

After much debate, I decided to forego the tradtional full-blown illustration, 'cause I though it would defeat the purpose of a book cover. *nod* So here you have your two kiddo's posing all nice and junk with the minimal background. Had a few ideas for the type, but in the end went with this version because the other one made it look a little cluttered -_- Ugh. SO. Much. Kerning. *STAB*

Edit: and here's where I get to bitch a little since I can and have 5 beers coursing through me veins. This is just in general, and spurned by one of the comments I got on a project. It's a BOOK COVER. It's SUPPOSED to be clean and simple because really, when's the last time you saw an incredibly detailed and rendered cover that worked? no, those cheesy romance novels at the supermarket checkout don't count. So please don't say "it looks too simple" because then i'm goign to kill you. sorry, just people making uneducated comments is making me more mad than usual because i'm going to school for this; I'm paying 20k a year to learn to do what I do and so if someone asks for a book cover, you don't half ass it, or try to circumvent the requirements even if it means curbing your own skill or vision, you give the client what they ask for. I can't tell how many times i tried to do that because i had a great idea for an illustration adn I had to cleave the idea in half because it just didn't suit the needs of the product. pfft, sorry bout this. im getting another drink. anyone know where i can buy everclear on VA beach?
